Ny putter från MacGregor
Utvecklingen av golfklubbor leds, kan man säga, av drivers. På andra plats kommer den kanske viktigaste klubban, dvs puttern. Varje år dyker det upp nya innovationer som ska göra att vi puttar rakare, som gör att bollen rullar istället för hoppar och som gör att känslan är mjuk vid träffen osv. För några år sedan dök det upp putters med utbytbara inserts så att man kunde välja rätt insert beroende på greenernas beskaffenhet. Jag har känslan av att dessa putters inte blev någon större försäljningsframgång, men jag kan ha fel där.
Nu är det dags att ta fram tekniken med utbytbara inserts igen. Denna gång är det MacGregor Golf som kommer med puttern Face Off, som man med några enkla (?) handgrepp kan byta insert på. Man kan välja mellan ett polymerinsert for mjuk känsla och ett titaninsert för maximal feedback. Varje putter levereras med båda inserten och ett verktyg för byte.
